The Subjugate |
The Subjugate: Preferred name of the empire of conquest established by the Dao'Tai and their allies over the preponderance of the High Sun Realms. The Subjugate is a brutal imperial dominion forged by conquest and fear, ruled by the Aya Dao’Tai and enforced through overwhelming military force, systemic slavery, and calculated terror. Once-independent realms are reduced to provinces, allowed to retain hollow local governance only so long as they submit tribute, obey Subjugate law, and pose no threat of rebellion. Resistance is met with annihilation—rulers exterminated, populations enslaved, and lands stripped of all ownership, which is claimed by the state. Beneath its rigid hierarchy, the Subjugate thrives on cruelty, exploitation, and secret alliances with abominable powers, using war, guile, and atrocity as instruments of control rather than exceptions. It is not merely an empire, but a mechanism of domination designed to erase identity, heritage, and hope.
